Acceptance of Terms

These Membership Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of Solar Ally’s homeowner membership service. By joining or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you should not become a member.

About Solar Ally

Solar Ally is an independent subscription-based support service for Canadian homeowners who already own residential solar systems. We are not a solar installation company, an insurance provider, a warranty company, or an electrical contractor.

We provide support, guidance, record keeping, and coordination assistance. We do not sell or install solar panels.

Membership & Services

Membership may include:

  • Phone and text support with a knowledgeable first point of contact.
  • Monitoring assistance — help understanding your monitoring app, alerts, and production information.
  • Help understanding production and performance information.
  • Solar system record keeping and document storage.
  • Warranty guidance and service coordination assistance.
  • An annual solar health review of available system information and your records.

Monitoring assistance means we help you understand information you already have. It is not continuous, automated, or 24/7 monitoring, and it does not include automatic fault detection.

What Membership Does Not Include

Membership does not include:

  • Physical repairs, parts, or labour.
  • Insurance, warranty coverage, or manufacturer guarantees.
  • Guaranteed warranty approval or claim outcomes.
  • Guaranteed system performance or production results.
  • Continuous or 24/7 automated monitoring.
  • Technician dispatch or on-site electrical work.

When another party needs to be involved, we help you identify and coordinate the appropriate next step with a qualified professional. We do not replace your manufacturer, installer, utility, or a licensed service professional.

Eligibility

Membership is designed for Canadian homeowners who already own a residential solar system. You are responsible for providing accurate information during enrollment and onboarding.

Fees & Billing

Membership is offered as a recurring subscription. The current published price is $39 CAD per month. Applicable taxes, billing interval, minimum commitment, renewal, and cancellation terms are confirmed during enrollment and may be updated. Your membership renews automatically until cancelled in accordance with these Terms.

Payment is processed through our approved recurring checkout provider. We do not collect or store full card details through this website.

Phone & SMS / Text Communications

By providing your phone number, you consent to receive phone calls and SMS / text messages from Solar Ally related to your membership and support requests. This includes replies to your questions, setup-call reminders, and service-related updates.

Standard message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies with your support needs. To opt out of SMS / text messages, reply STOP to any message. For help, reply HELP or contact us at 1-587-555-0199. Opting out of text messages does not cancel your membership.

We do not sell or share your phone number or mobile information with third parties for marketing purposes. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Cancellation & Refunds

You may cancel your membership by following the cancellation process provided during enrollment or by contacting us at 1-587-555-0199. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period unless otherwise stated. Refund eligibility for partial periods is confirmed during enrollment.

Onboarding & Your Responsibilities

After you join, you will receive a welcome email with next steps and links to complete your onboarding and book a setup call. Detailed equipment, installation, and document information is collected during onboarding — not before payment.

You are responsible for providing accurate information and for maintaining any accounts, warranties, or relationships you hold with your installer, manufacturer, or utility.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Solar Ally provides guidance and coordination assistance on a reasonable-effort basis. We do not guarantee any specific outcome, including warranty approval, repair results, or system performance. To the extent permitted by law, all services are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Solar Ally’s liability is limited to the membership fees you have paid in the relevant period. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including any action or inaction by third parties such as installers, manufacturers, or service providers.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will post the updated version on this page with a revised “last updated” date.
